CAFM-supported building automation system in a seminar room with LCB network protocol and connection of two ventilation systems

A seminar room of the MCR laboratory contains 20 student PCs, one teacher PC, and a server. The existing devices shall simulate all three levels of a building automation system (GA). On the student PCs, automation devices / controllers shall be emulated that exchange data with each other as well as with the teacher PC.

Sensors and actuators with conventional signal transmission as well as bus-capable circuits shall be connected to the PCs that, as a whole, present the periphery of a modern building automation system.

Research approaches:

  • Coupling of GA and CAFM software
  • CAFM-supported configuration of an automation system
  • Laboratory test of GA systems
